New! In-House Fecal Testing at Camp Happy Paws
Fast, convenient, and vet-trusted—fecal testing just got easier at Camp Happy Paws!
At Camp Happy Paws, your dog’s health—and the well-being of our entire pack—is always our top priority.
Because dogs play, sniff, and share space in group settings, parasites can spread easily if not caught early.
That’s why routine fecal testing is so important—it protects every camper (and our staff!) and helps us maintain a clean, safe environment.
Many intestinal parasites show no obvious symptoms, which means even a healthy-looking dog could unknowingly spread them. To stay ahead of potential issues, we require fecal testing every three months for all dogs in our care. This proactive schedule allows us to catch problems early, prevent outbreaks, and keep playgroups safe and fun. Preventative care means more worry-free playtime for everyone!
How It Works
Step 1: Collect the sample at home.
You can use any sealed plastic baggie—no special container required. We only need about two “Hershey’s kisses” worth of stool. Just make sure the sample is fresh (collected within 24 hours of drop-off) and kept in the refrigerator until you bring it in. Please do not freeze it, as freezing can affect results.
Step 2: Drop it off at Camp Happy Paws.
No appointment needed—just bring your sample any day before noon!
- Weekdays: 8am–12pm
- Weekends: 9am–12pm
We accept samples 7 days a week, but please note: we do not collect samples from dogs while they’re at camp. Owners must bring the sample themselves.
Step 3: We handle the rest.
Once you drop it off, our team labels and prepares the sample, and Antech picks it up the same day for testing.
Step 4: Get your results quickly.
Results are typically ready the next morning. We’ll text you as soon as they’re available, and we also upload the results directly to your dog’s Kennel Connection profile for easy access.
Step 5: If the test is positive.
If anything is detected, we’ll notify you right away. Your regular veterinarian will handle treatment, and once treatment is complete, a retest is required before your dog can return to camp. This ensures our playgroups stay healthy and parasite-free.
Prefer to Use Your Own Vet?
No problem! If you’d rather continue testing through your veterinarian, that’s totally fine. Just make sure the test was completed within the last three months.
To keep everything organized and ensure your dog’s records are up to date, please upload the results directly to the Client Portal. This sends it straight into our system—no printing, emailing, or paperwork needed.
