Camp Happy Paws » Get Started

Join Our Pack

Before you can join our pack, we require all potential campers to come in for a trial visit. This will allow you to view the camp, meet the staff and owners, and ask any questions you might have. It also gives your dog a chance to sniff around and start the process of getting comfortable and familiar with Camp Happy Paws.

Our establishment is unique in that it is truly free-range, so safety is always our number one priority. To keep the whole pack safe, all our campers must be well socialized, behave appropriately, listen to cues and commands from other dogs and handlers, and reliably respond to their name. These qualities are necessary to ensure the safety and happiness of all of our campers. For more information about what to expect at a trial visit please visit our Frequently Asked Questions.

Meet and Greet

Trial visits are by appointment only, so if you think Camp Happy Paws is the right place for your dog friend, please complete our Intake Form to get the ball rolling. Once complete, a member of our team will reach out to you to schedule your appointment.

We will also need you to send us a few more things before coming to camp for a trial:

  • A photo of your pup
  • Proof of current Rabies and Lepto vaccines
  • Fecal exam results that are negative for ova and parasites from within the last 3 months
  • You can also get a fecal exam done through Camp

If you do not have a recent fecal exam, we recommend reaching out to your vet right away, as the process can take up to a week to complete, depending on the clinic you go to. You can also get a fecal exam done through Camp Happy Paws directly for $65—let us know if you are interested in this service!

After your trial we will require one day of day camp before any boarding dates, and one practice overnight before boarding stays longer than a week. This is to make sure your dog is comfy with camp and ready for their big adventure!
